Award for Woodlands Primary
A CUMBERNAULD school has become the first in North Lanarkshire Lanarkshire to gain accreditation in a high prestige globally recognised scheme.
Woodlands Primary has been putting the rights of the child at the forefront of its curriculum as part of a special UNICEF programme.
It now boasts a Rights Respecting School award as a result – and these youngsters are among those who have reaped real rewards for getting involved.
Head teacher Nicola Ferguson said: “This process has had a very positive impact on the whole school. We are delighted that we have achieved the award. We are very proud of all our pupils and staff.’’
