Cruel owner abandons cats
The vulnerable foursome who range from eight months to three years had been stashed in a carrier last Monday night while temperatures plummeted outside. They were found by an appalled member of the public who called the Scottish SPCA.
The felines are now in the charity’s Lanarkshire Animal Rescue and Rehoming Centre in Bothwell Road Hamilton – and have been put up for adoption. Staff have called them Dexter, Smudge, Lizzie and Tabatha. Animal Rescue Officer Jenny Hamilton said: “These poor youngsters were dumped in one carrier with no food or water. We don’t think they had been there for very long and we’re just glad that they’re safe now. This was a cruel thing to do and we’re very keen to trace the owner.”
