Thornliebank kids give their hearts to hospice
The Chewin The Fat star popped into the school to launch new fundraising packs for the charity’s new hospice, at Bellahouston Park.
The foundations of the state-of-the-art facility cost £1 million — and the Foundation Appeal is looking for the last £330,000, with a little help from the famous friend and East Ren youngsters.

“It’s a great cause and the launch was a good opportunity too for the children to learn more about the important work of the hospice.
“The school is happy to help and we now have our own fundraising pack, with some great ideas for raising vital funds.”
Karen Dunbar added: “Glasgow and East Renfrewshire schools and many community organisations are receiving fundraising packs full of event organising tips and fun ideas to help raise the final funds so desperately needed to put in the foundations for the new hospice to be built on.
