Biggar Rugby Club have been rocked by the resignation of head coach Gavin Blackburn.

After Biggar’s heavy 49-5 defeat at Aberdeenshire on Saturday, club president Alistair Stewart stated: “Gavin revealed to the players after the game that he would be standing down.

“His decision was not influenced by Biggar’s performance but is down to family pressures and an increase in his work commitments.”
