When it comes to taking players on trial, few supporters will remember those who passed on the chance to sign for Rangers.
The Ibrox club have offered numerous players seeking to win a deal the chance to impress, but some names probably won’t resonate with fans - the likes of former Stuttgart goalkeeper Rouven Sattelmaier and ex-Boca Juniors youth star Francesco Celeste to name a few. How many of these 14 Rangers trialists from the last two decades can you remember? GlasgowWorld takes a closer look at those contract hopefuls, and where they ended up after failing to put pen to paper.
13. Nacer Barazite (2010)
The Dutch-born forward spent his early days in Arsenal's youth system before rocking up at Ibrox. Played 77 minutes of Rangers pre-season friendly against Glentoran and supposedly impressed coach Ian Durrant but a deal wasn't forthcoming and he instead returned to the Netherlands to sign for Vitesse Arnhem on loan. Also played for Monaco and FC Utrecht.
14. Craig Gordon (2013)
Needs no introduction to Rangers fans... the former Celtic and current Hearts goalkeeper spent a short period training at Auchenhowie and using the club's facilities on his road to recovery after two years of injury hell. Expected to be part of Steve Clarke's Scotland squad for this summer's European Championships which could be his final swan song to round off an impressive career.
