One of Glasgow’s most iconic hotels has launched a trio of delicious new menus at its popular bar and lounge ahead of summer.

The award-winning Champagne Central, located within the voco® Grand Central Glasgow Hotel, is now serving up a delectable selection of dishes combining small bar bites, a range of larger specials, and new weekend brunch dishes.

Diners can now begin their weekend in culinary style with Champagne Central’s opulent Brunch menu, served every Saturday and Sunday from 10am-2pm. Among the highlights of the new menu is the introduction of ‘Grand’ waffles and American-style pancakes served with a variety of toppings, including vanilla mascarpone, burnt white chocolate and macerated berries or fried egg, pulled brisket and smoked tomato ketchup for those who prefer a savoury accompaniment.

For fans of traditional Scottish fare, classic produce including haggis, black pudding and square sausage are included in the full Scottish breakfast. A plant-based alternative is also available for vegetarians and vegans alike.

Additionally, the eggs benedict, accompanied by honey roast Ayrshire ham, showcases the best of locally sourced produce, while the summer smoothie bowl serves as the perfect lighter alternative for fans of the popular acai bowl - favoured amongst celebrities, social media influencers and holiday makers in tropical destinations.

Whilst a glass of champagne is a must-have whilst visiting Champagne Central, the talented bartenders can also whip up an assortment of cocktails that compliment any of the brunch dishes, such as a Bellini, Bloody Mary, or an Espresso Martini, if you are visiting after 11am.

As well as the new Brunch menu, Champagne Central has also shaken up its Bar snack offering with a refreshed Bar menu available daily between 12-9pm. The menu features a selection of ‘wee plates’, including grilled prawns with chilli and garlic butter and charred flatbread, pulled beef brisket with smoked tomato ketchup, cheddar and chilli waffles, and broccoli fritters with romesco sauce and fried onions.

For those looking for a more substantial meal, the venue has introduced larger plates to its Lounge menu. The new menu offers a selection of comforting classics and contemporary creations including hearty steak frites, saffron and smoked haddock risotto, and vegan-friendly crispy haggis dumplings. Customers looking to escape the hustle and bustle of the city centre can retreat to Champane Central’s elegant surroundings and sample the Lounge menu daily from 12-9pm.

Under the expert guidance of F&B Lead Brodie Green, Champagne Central is gearing up for the busy summer season in its prime city centre location overlooking Glasgow Central Station. The bar inside the iconic voco Grand Central Hotel first opened its doors in 1883 and has been visited by the likes of Frank Sinatra and Fred Astaire.

Brodie said: “Our team has put a lot of their time and passion into carefully curating the three delicious new menus which cater to the diverse tastes and preferences of our wonderful guests. We believe that every dining experience should be as grand as the hotel itself, therefore all our dishes feature top-quality ingredients prepared with the skills and flair expected from our award-winning team of experts.

“Whether diners are staying in the hotel overnight or are grabbing a bite to eat or a fabulous cocktail to drink during the day whilst enjoying the stunning interiors within the hotel, we can't wait to welcome them into our beautiful Champagne Central to taste what we’ve been working on behind the scenes. We're confident that everyone will love the new food options.”
