The striker is another addition in a busy summer at Motherwell.

Filip Stuparevic has signed a two-year deal with the option of a third at Motherwell to become the club’s sixth summer signing.

Following on from the arrivals of Kofi Balmer, Tom Sparrow, Johnny Koutroumbis, Ross Callachan and Zach Robinson, the Serbian arrives from Slovenian top flight team Domzale. He jetted into Edinburgh Airport on Thursday morning to complete the move, with a medical sorted by the afternoon.

Stuparevic has played over 100 games in the Serbian top flight, with his Serbian top-flight debut at the age of 15 with Voždovac making him the youngest player to ever play in the top tier of Serbia.

He now links up with Stuart Kettlewell’s, who have already returned to pre-season training ahead of the new season. The team jet out to Holland at the weekend for a summer camp, and Stuparevic has managed to sign on the dotted line ahead of that, amid interest from other Premiership sides.

Boss Kettlewell said: “With over 100 games played in the Serbian top-flight, I think you can see he has experience.

“He had a really successful start to his football career and burst onto the scene. I think when you have teams in the Premier League and teams like Juventus interested in you, it shows us all the talent Filip has.

“Filip had a really good season last year and having watched all his games, I know the type of player we’re getting. He has real flair and can do a lot of good when on the pitch. I think everyone will see he can score, assist and work hard.”
